In her presentation, Mental Health in the Workplace, Dr. Roberson will provide information that will help the Human Resources professional:
1.    Understand the scope of mental health disease among working professionals
2.    Learn some of the characteristics of two of the most common mental health diseases – anxiety and depression
3.    Develop a framework in which to create a plan for compassionate intervention that is respectful of an individual’s privacy

Caroljane B. Roberson, MD is a psychiatrist on staff at Trident Health.  She will be among a team of experienced psychiatrists who will provide care at Trident Medical Center’s new 60-bed mental health hospital, Live Oak Mental Health & Wellness.  When the hospital opens June 6, 2023, it will be South Carolina’s first mental health hospital in more than 30 years.  Dr. Roberson earned her medical degree at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.  She served her Residency in General Psychiatry at USC Prisma Health – Midlands.  She earned a Master’s Degree at Wake Forest University and her undergraduate degree at Furman University.  She has more than 10 years experience diagnosing and treating a wide variety of mental illnesses including anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse and schizophrenia.  She is also experienced in Electro Convulsive Therapy.  Dr. Roberson is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.
