Annual harassment training is becoming worse than a root canal. Your employees know the laws. They know not to touch, coerce, fondle, or make fun of their co-workers. Does any of this awareness really result in BEHAVIOR CHANGES? What are we communicating with our policies and actions that override diversity training? This session will discuss EEOC claims that are happening NOW. We will address how to insert respect, dignity, and kindness into your workplace to enhance your Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion vision. And we’ll share ideas for activities to make your training more interesting. To help prepare for this training, if you plan to attend, please email [email protected], in the subject line put “PSHRM” and tell her if you have an usual hobby, previous vocation, crazy experience or something that most people do not know about you that you don’t mind sharing. Please don’t share this at the meeting until asked to do so.

Palmetto SHRM School Supply Drive
This year, Palmetto SHRM is sponsoring a school supply drive for Florence Crittenton. This organization provides safe housing, medical care, education, and other support services to pregnant, parenting, and young women in foster care so they can have the skills and resources needed to have a healthy start in life.
They are always in need of basic school supplies such as pencils, pens, folders, notebooks, pen/pencil cases, etc. for high school students. We are collecting donations for drop-off between now and our August meeting. You may bring items for drop-off to this meeting, or you can reach out to Jackie Kohlhepp to coordinate an alternative drop-off date and time. [email protected]
