Yvonne B. Brown is a Consultant with the Division of Apprenticeships and Employer Partnerships.  

Ms. Brown works closely with companies to encourage employment opportunities for aspiring apprentices in the tri-county area.  She educates on topics such as “what is an apprenticeship” and “how to start an apprenticeship program at your workplace”.  She guides interested employers with education and assistance to develop a successful apprenticeship program.  Ms. Brown has also worked with the Division of Continuing Education as Assistant VP where she assisted organizations with training and development for their employees.  

Yvonne has worked as an Area Supervisor with Vocational Rehabilitation (Charleston Area Office), in which she worked closely with ensuring individuals with mental or physical disabilities, who were able to work, were given opportunities for employment.

Yvonne received her MBA from The Citadel and a Master’s Degree from SC State University in Rehabilitation Counseling.  She has held her PHR since 2003.

Yvonne is a former President of the Tri-County HR Association, the former name for PSHRM.
